All residential students have a campus mailbox located in the Cerf Center.  Commuter students are offered a campus mailbox on a first come, first serve basis. Students are encouraged to check their mail at least once per day as faculty, staff, and students utilize campus mailboxes for distribution of notices of campus events, returning class work, and more.   All students have the same campus mailing address, but with a specific box # that they will receive after they move in. All residential students are welcome to bring a car to campus and register for a parking permit. Although many residential students may enjoy having a car on campus, it is not a necessity. All residential and commuter students wishing to bring a car must be sure to complete the online Parking Registration Form.  This form should be completed before the first day of class in order to avoid receiving a parking ticket. Residential students and commuter students each have designated parking lots that they must park in. More information about specific parking lots is given out after a student registers for their parking permit. The program end date on your I-20 document determines the end date of your immigration status and the length of your stay in the US. The visa page inside your passport does not. Make sure your faculty advisor is aware of your I-20 end date when you are discussing your program plan. If you require more time to complete your studies, you must have a compelling academic or medical reason to extend your I-20 document. You must request this extension through the PDSO as soon as possible.

F-1 students must depart the U.S. within 60 days after the end date on their I-20 document or after completion of studies (whichever is sooner).   Students working on Optional Practical Training (OPT) must depart within 60 days after the end date listed on their EAD card.  Note: Students who do not follow the rules and regulations required of their F-1 status/OPT status will be automatically terminated, no grace period will apply.

Ten cents per day for books. Twenty-five cents per hour for reserve materials. Fifty cents per day for interlibrary loans and videos. If the fine is paid at the time the overdue material is returned, the fine will be reduced by half. If the library materials are declared lost, the student will be charged the current replacement cost of the material ($40.00 for books, $90 for dvds), plus a processing fee of $10.00 per item and the accrued fines. At the end of each semester, all library materials must be returned or paid for if lost, and all fines must be paid. The Reagan Transfer Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship that will be awarded to a student who completes his/her second year at Sauk Valley Community College and transfers to Eureka College to pursue their baccalaureate degree. Network Accounts For both exiting and for graduating students, network accounts are typically removed from the system 30 days after you graduate or after your exit date.    Email Accounts Exiting students have the option to keep their Eureka College e-mail account for 30 days after your exit date.  After that time, your account will be removed from the system. Eureka College graduates can keep their existing e-mail address for 12 months past graduation.  After that time, accounts will be deleted.  Logging in is the same way, and if you have any issues you can still contact the Help Desk. Remember, as per the EC Network Acceptable Use Agreement, any e-mail account that is inactive for at least three months is subject to deletion from the system.

The student entering one of these pre-professional areas will usually major in biology or chemistry. However, a student from any major may be accepted as long as he/she has the specific prerequisite courses for the professional school and successful performance on the professional admissions test in his/her area. Most medical, dental, and veterinary schools require two years of chemistry, one year of biology, one year of physics, and psychology including at least PSY101; some require mathematics through Calculus II. Learning extends beyond the classroom Eureka College faculty play a pivotal role in working toward the success of each and every student. The college has an average class size of fifteen students and a student-faculty ratio of 13:1.   Many faculty have earned national and international recognition in their areas of scholarship, such as: social responses to alcoholism, the history of slavery; recognition in lepidoptery, philosophy, Native American literature; and individually recognized Fulbright Scholarship recipients.   Most full-time faculty also serve as academic advisors.
