All residential students are welcome to bring a car to campus and register for a parking permit. Although many residential students may enjoy having a car on campus, it is not a necessity. All residential and commuter students wishing to bring a car must be sure to complete the online Parking Registration Form.  This form should be completed before the first day of class in order to avoid receiving a parking ticket. Residential students and commuter students each have designated parking lots that they must park in. More information about specific parking lots is given out after a student registers for their parking permit. The Greek Council also sponsors programs that aid the development of its member organizations and the individual members. Network Accounts For both exiting and for graduating students, network accounts are typically removed from the system 30 days after you graduate or after your exit date.    Email Accounts Exiting students have the option to keep their Eureka College e-mail account for 30 days after your exit date.  After that time, your account will be removed from the system. Eureka College graduates can keep their existing e-mail address for 12 months past graduation.  After that time, accounts will be deleted.  Logging in is the same way, and if you have any issues you can still contact the Help Desk. Remember, as per the EC Network Acceptable Use Agreement, any e-mail account that is inactive for at least three months is subject to deletion from the system.

Welcome to ILLOWA! Home of the longest-running undergraduate psychology research conference in America. This year, we'll be at Eureka College on April 15, 2023.

Each major in the Fine and Performing Arts division benefits from Eureka College’s liberal arts emphasis. Fine and Performing Arts majors fit into one of the three broad areas of study: Art, Music and Theatre Arts & Drama. In total, we currently offer 7 majors and 3 minors.

Learning extends beyond the classroom Eureka College faculty play a pivotal role in working toward the success of each and every student. The college has an average class size of fifteen students and a student-faculty ratio of 13:1.   Many faculty have earned national and international recognition in their areas of scholarship, such as: social responses to alcoholism, the history of slavery; recognition in lepidoptery, philosophy, Native American literature; and individually recognized Fulbright Scholarship recipients.   Most full-time faculty also serve as academic advisors. Why? Because they view advising as a form of teaching. They bring to this task the same level of dedication and diligence they bring to their classroom work. Approximately one-quarter of all instructors also pursue opportunities to teach outside their fields of study in interdisciplinary courses such as freshman and senior, honors seminars.

... well-developed workforce.  Partnerships between Eureka College and businesses are critical to the future of education.   Eureka College is a partner in a $14.6 million Good Jobs Challenge to establish an IT workforce training program.  The goal is to construct a pipeline of skilled IT workers for the Greater Peoria area.  Eureka College is providing a Cybersecurity Certificate Program to prepare people with little to no background in IT for entry level jobs in a a high in-demand and lucrative career path.   As another initiative for the workforce training program, Eureka College will be providing upskilling courses for those already in the workforce who need managerial skills in communication, reasoning, critical thinking, decision-making, etc.  These courses will be online and based on our 10 Essentials which is a capabilities-based curriculum.

Make a Difference at Eureka College

... bridge the gap between two unique communities. Over the course of 6 months, students explore how today’s most pressing political concerns impact residents in both urban and rural communities.   Each campus will select 10 students for this joint program. The program itself consists of three engagements where students will explore the communities surrounding each campus, collecting feedback from local residents, stakeholders, politicians and lawmakers. In spring, both campuses meet in Springfield, IL for a final presentation.   Through this program, students have the opportunity to visit the offices of industry experts, conduct focus groups, and participate in leadership exercises. The experience is designed to create a greater sense of understanding as well as develop concrete action plans.   Requirements and Eligibility Interested students must meet the following requirements   Must be able to attend all three program dates. Psychology/Occupational Therapy is a 3+2 program conducted in cooperation with Washington University School of Medicine (Program in Occupational Therapy) in St. Louis, Missouri. This program prepares students for careers in hospital settings, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, etc., assisting physicians and other types of therapists to train and rehabilitate individuals with physical defects, injuries, and other health problems.
