Eureka College was founded by abolitionists from Kentucky who were members of a religious movement known as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and were committed to providing young people a broad, liberal education. These pioneers believed in an education infused with values as a basis for leadership. Chartered by the Illinois Legislature in 1855, Eureka was the first college in the state and third in the nation to admit men and women on an equal basis. Eureka College was designated by the National Park Service as a Campus Historic District in the National Register of Historic Places in June 2010.

Get ready to lace up your sneakers and sprint into summer fun! Join us at the Reagan Athletic Complex Practice Fields every Thursday from June 6 to July 25, 6-7pm, for an exciting Kids Running Series tailored for ages 12 and under.

Over the course of 8 weeks, kids will hone their running skills, foster healthy habits, and make lasting memories. The series culminates on July 20 with two thrilling races to showcase all the hard work and dedication. Registration is $50 for the entire series, with family discounts available. Participants will receive a race day t-shirt, awards, nightly refreshments, and more. See you on the track!
