The program’s “Bowling for Baseball” event will take place at Derer Lanes in Eureka on Saturday, Feb. 9. For $20 per person or $100 per teams of five, participants get to bowl two games and enjoy an Avanti’s spaghetti dinner.
Teams of five will have the opportunity to bowl at either noon, 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. Then, once the last games of the day conclude, there will be spaghetti, salad, bread, drinks and raffle prizes.
To register for the event, fill out an entry form on EurekaRedDevils.com and send payment to EC assistant baseball coach Tim Cranford at 75000 N. Villa Wood Lane Peoria, IL 61614. Make checks payable to Eureka College Baseball.
The entry deadline is Feb. 2.
All proceeds will benefit EC baseball’s March trip to Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky, which will kickoff the Red Devils’ non-conference schedule for the 2019 season.
EC’s five-day trip will open with a game at Hanover (Ind.) on March 12. The Red Devils will then play a game at Sewanee (Tenn.) on March 13 before a doubleheader there on March 14. They’ll conclude at Centre (Ky.) on March 15.
“This event is a great opportunity for people to be involved with our baseball program and be socially active with our players,” EC head baseball coach Jerry Rashid said. “Knowing the money raised helps finance our trip means a great deal to our program.”
Businesses can sponsor a lane for $100 or donate sponsored raffle prizes. Send donations to Eureka College Baseball Bowling C/O Coach Tim Cranford 7500 N. Villa Wood Lane Peoria, IL 61614.
