Eureka College’s Homecoming tradition can be traced back to November 11, 1922, when games and festivities welcomed home soldiers from WWI. These games eventually became known as The Old Elm Homecoming Competition, named to honor the selfless heroism of 29 Eureka students and faculty who, under the shade of the old elm tree, volunteered to fight in the Civil War in 1861.
This year, the Office of Student Life is determined to celebrate a Eureka Homecoming through some traditional student events and outreach with our alumni! Please see the schedule for the Homecoming in April calendar of events!
For students interested in winning prizes for Panels or Entertainment Night and/or competing for the Old Elm Trophy, review the details that include prize opportunities HERE! Old Elm and General Participants should sign-up by Monday, April 5th, 5 pm, via the sign-up form. To participate in Bingo, Hula Hoop Contest, or Trivia, just show up.
